Statement of Faith

Written below is my very own personal Statement of Faith and explains very simply why I believe what I believe.

First off, I wish to make it abundantly clear that not one person or organization has forced me to believe what I believe, this is all by the conviction of my heart placed by Almighty God. I understand that not everyone will agree with my Statement of Faith but I have provided Scriptural evidence that backs up what I believe to be true by the Word of God.

Firstly, I believe the Bible is the only rule for Faith and practice. I must go a little deeper and say that I believe the King James Version of the Bible is the closest to the original texts for the English speaking people. I do believe that there have been created perverted versions of the Bible in an attempt to mislead people and cause much confusion. Hence why I read and study out of the King James Version of the Bible. (Scriptures to back this up can be found in Deuteronomy 4:2; Proverbs 30:5-6; Revelation 22:18-19)

Secondly, I believe Salvation is by Grace thru Faith. We cannot earn salvation by our good works (Romans 3:10). Many religious groups claim that you can be saved by being baptized, while I agree that this is a good step in your salvation, I simply believe it is not required. We must remember that the thief on the cross in Luke 23:39-43, was never baptized. There were several others throughout the Bible who accepted Jesus as their personal Savior but did not have the ability to be baptized before their death so therefore this brings me to my conclusion that you are not required to be baptized to be saved. Baptism is more of an outward testimony declaring you have trusted Christ as your Personal Savior. I do believe you must place your faith and trust in what our Lord did on earth how that He lived a perfect and sinless life, was crucified and died on the cross, buried in the tomb and arose on the third day for our sins and that He lives in Heaven today and makes intercession for us on the right hand of the throne of God. (Scriptures to back this up can be found in Romans 3:23; 6:23; 5:8; 10:9-10; 10:13; Ephesians 2:8-9; Hebrews 2:10; 5:9; John 3:16)

Thirdly, I believe church attendance is Biblical and to profess to be a Child of God, you should have that longing and desire to be with like-minded believers and partake in that fellowship. The Bible commands believers to come together for fellowship and to worship God! I also believe in the autonomy of the local church meaning that the local church is self-governed rather than belonging to an association or convention. (Scriptures to back this up can be found in Hebrews 10:25; Matthew 18:20; Ephesians 5:23; 1 Corinthians 6)

Fourthly, I believe in the Trinity being God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. I believe from the moment you accept Christ as your personal Savior, that the Holy Spirit indwells within the believer and fills that believer with His presence if they will allow Him! (1 Corinthians 3:16; Romans 8:9; Acts 1:8; Matthew 28:19)

This is my short Statement of Faith. I trust and pray the Grace of our Lord and Savior would be with each of you. May our Lord bless you greatly!
